MICS 3 Country Website • Why? • Least resources, most coverage and flexibility, access by local population in local language. • How? • Microdata Management Toolkit • DevInfo • Your option • What? • Data, reports, real life stories, messages, photos, videos, diaries, interviews, etc. • Resources: • Host website (ideally country statistical website) • Support team/person • $$

  7. 4 basic options of making MICS available online • 1. Make references to MICS3 data on www.childinfo.org from a country statistical/governmental or from the country UNICEF website. • 2. Create a MICS related entry/page on a country statistical/ governmental or on the country UNICEF website. • 3. Static data representation – make a compilation of MICS tables, graphs and maps available on the country statistical/ governmental or on the UNICEF country web site (suggestion – using DevInfo technology). • 4. Dynamic data representation – a more complex way of representing data online. Making the database itself available on the web, using DevInfo technology.

DevInfo as MICS Dissemination Tool • Dynamic data presentation – National DevInfo web-based database • www.devinfo.info/TSED/ • www.devinfo.info/MDGInfo2006/ • Work in progress: Kyrgyzstan • Static data presentation – MICS web galleries compatible with web sites and platforms outside of DevInfo • Brazil presentation
