NSERC Regional Offices What we do: • Ensure a visible presence in the regions and bring NSERC closer to students, researchers, and industry • Raise awareness of NSERC’s activities and promote participation in the programs • Create linkages between academic and private sectors • Promote science and math education • Celebrate and showcase research and innovation success Ontario: Location TBD 2008

NSERC-Prairies How we do this: • Meet with our clients and stakeholders • Identify needs and gaps • Recognize and act on opportunities • Get you answers • Connect you with the right people and organizations • Support and organize events • Use Regional Opportunities Fund (ROF) strategically • Annual Review and State of the Region Report

NSERC-Prairies How we do this (II): some specific examples • Develop content-specific communications (e.g ALSAMA) • Facilitate regional networking workshops • Promote NSERC programs to targeted audiences • Hub committee for NRC-NSERC-BDC initiative • Stakeholder map project • Work with industry associations and organizations • Coordinate efforts with other Federal and Provincial departments
