This article reviews the Nook e-reader program implemented at Spring Ridge ES Library. As the school year progressed, the initially long waiting list for Nooks disappeared by March, indicating rising student engagement. The advantages of dedicated e-readers, such as control over content, easy access to popular and higher reading-level books, and enhanced literature circles, are discussed. However, challenges like management, setup time, and accessory expenses are also highlighted. Looking ahead, the integration of Android tablets for diverse content access is on the horizon.
