  2. John Anderson, 20, looks over Horsebarn Hill before his first run of the day.

  3. Eddy Anderson, 19, leans back into a Coleman Slide. “Sliding is like controlled chaos. You go from having complete control to being one wrong move away from catastrophe. Sliding is kind of zen, you have to be completely in the moment.”

  5. Cody Scott, 21, cruises down Hillside Road past McMahon on a leisurely ride. “Riding my longboard is like hitching a ride on a catalyst of dreams.”

  6. Andy Roets, 20, waits at the end of a run for his fellow longboarders to arrive. “It’s kind of sad getting off my longboard, especially after a hill. It’s a drag to get off.”
