BBUS Bridge Features • Support External DMA transfers • Aggregate the interrupts generated by the various BBUS peripherals • Arbitrate BBUS control amongst the bus masters residing on BBUS • Translate AMBA AHB bus transactions to Netsilicon proprietary BBUS transactions • Translate Netsilicon proprietary BBUS transactions to AMBA AHB bus transactions

BBUS Bridge – External DMA • Two independent external DMA channels • Supports byte, half-word and word transfers • Supports single and burst transfers • Supports initiation by external signaling or initiation by software • Supports memory to memory DMA and memory to external peripheral DMA • Supports any source and destination address alignment

  5. BBUS Bridge – Interrupt Aggregation • Provides a central location for software to learn which BBUS peripherals are in need of servicing. • Provides a central location for software to disable individual BBUS peripheral interrupts.
