  2. Informal Commands are used to address someone you know well. For example, such as friends, a family member, and to address little children. The informal commands also has a different form for affirmative and negative commands. This command uses verbs that have irregular informal commands of itself. What are Informal Commands Used For?

  3. Affirmative Commands Steps: • Conjugate for yo • Drop the “o” • Add –a for –ar and –e for –er/-ir verbs Affirmative Informal Commands

  4. For Example: to walk- Caminar • Camino • Camin • Camina To run- Correr • Corro • Corr • Corre To write- Escribir • Escribo • Escrib • Escribe Examples of Affirmative Informal Commands

  5. Negative Commands Steps: • Put no in front • Conjugate for yo • Drop the “o” • Add –es for –ar verbs and -as for –er/-ir verbs Negative Informal Commands

  6. For Example: To talk- Hablar • No Hablar • No Hablo • No Habl • No Hable(s) To drink- Beber • No Beber • No Bebo • No Beb • No Beba(s) To live- Vivir • No Vivir • No Vivo • No Viv • No Vivas Examples of Negative Informal Commands

  7. For negative commands, the verbs that end in –car change the “c” to “qu”. • The verbs that end in –gar change the “g” to “gu”. • Then the verbs that end in –zar change the “z” to “c”. Negative Irregular Commands
