ARROYO SCHOOLWIDE GOALS for 2012-13 • Common Core Standards – Continue studying & implementing for full implementation in 2013/14 • http://www.corestandards.org/ • CONTINUE TO BUILD OUR SCHOOL OF WRITERS – Our SIGNATURE PRACTICE THANK YOU for our Growing Educators Training this summer – AMAZING!!! 13 teachers attended & all loved it. Currently writing COTSEN Grant to help cover costs of on-site coaching for this year. PTA has generously supported with $5,000. • Continue to focus on school wide CGI Implementation in grades K-3. • Using Ipads as an instructional tool. Beginning stages of implementation. • HOMEWORK – how does our nightly homework align with our vision?

  5. ENGLISH LANGUAGE ARTS We increased from having 87% of our students proficient or advanced to 90% MATHEMATICS We increased from having 94% of our students proficient or advanced to 95%

  7. 4th GRADE STAR WRITING RESULTS 97% of Arroyo 4th graders passed!!!!

Continued PTA Support & Focus • $5,000 dedicated to support writing efforts • $37,000 allocated for additional aide support –RtI support teachers, math intervention • $20,000 purchased first Ipad Cart with 36 Ipads • $300 Classroom Reimbursement for teachers • $650 Field Trip allocation per grade level

  10. OUR • TECHNOLOGYVISION • Acquire mobile devices • Work with Ipads in large groups in grade 5 • Small group rotations in all other grades • Continue to train teachers & visit • model schools
