Service Composition • Def.: Service composition/aggregation = combine low-level basic services to high-level composite services in a dynamic fashion • Subtopics: • Description format/language for service interfaces and properties • Description format/language for service interrelations/interactions • Loose vs. tight coupling of basic services • Preservation of consistency within higher-level services • Matching of services based on service capabilities and user preferences • Cross-section topics: • Security issues • Physical distribution of service space (server vs. client / download) • Technical foundations for new business models • Time frame: 6 – 12 months (depends on level of detail and experience of student) Contact: Jochen.Sauter@mchp.siemens.de
