  5. Saving • Backstage View (File tab) • Save – saves with the current filename • Save As – • for first time saving • allows you to save a document with a different filename

  6. Can Save Different File Types

  7. Backstage View – Change File Type

  8. PDF – Page Downloadable Format

  9. Compatibility Mode • Some functions are limited when viewing older versions of a document • Must save as a .docx to have full capabilities

  10. Zoom • New window – opens same doc in another window • Arrange all – arranges all open docs on the screen • Split – creates multiple scroll bars on the same document

  11. Page Size • Default Size = 8.5” x 11” • Page Layout, Page Setup, Size • Might use this feature for printing invitations, announcements, and advertisements

  12. Orientation • Landscape – horizontal • Portrait – Vertical • Page Layout, Page Setup • Choose portrait or landscape Landscape Portrait
