Did you know that according to last year’s waste audit, 75% of the waste Wilson produces is eitherrecyclable orcompostable?Ain’t that cool?Let’s put our trash in the right bins and do our part to protect our environment.
In classrooms & offices, you can ONLY RECYCLE CLEAN PAPER PRODUCTS. Everything else goes in the black trash bins. Okay to recycle in the BLUE bins: • paper w/ scotch tape or staples • colored paper • post-its • paper w/ pen/pencil/ink markings • crumpled paper • cardboard
In the cafeteria & atrium, we will compost AND recycle! We need volunteersto help monitor the bins and educate students on the new program. If you’re interested and want community service hours, please tell us!
In hallways, teacher breakrooms, and common areas like Room 416, we will recycle clean paper products and empty containers (plastic, tin, glass) in separate BLUE bins.
Do you have ideas on how to make Wilson better? Do you want community service hours? If so... BE A SECOND PERIOD REPRESENTATIVE! Second period reps meet w/ the entire SGA once a month to discuss issues and suggestions voiced by their peers. Every meeting you attend = one service hour. If you help set-up for dances, you’ll receive additional hours AND free admission *Students of each 2nd pd class will choose one rep by Friday, Sept. 12th
