Feedback Received on 802.11ad PAR from 802.3 It is noted that IEEE Std 802.11 includes PICS proforma, and believed that these have consistently been included with the initial addition of functionality to the base standard.  The WG is asked to consider including a commitment to provide PICS on enhancements such as this within the project documents.   4. Proposed Response to 802.3 • 802.11 has included a statement into 8.1. We have added to the end of the last sentence : • …which will include a PICS proforma. Jon Rosdahl, CSR

Feedback received on 802.11adPAR from 802.15 • It would appear that 802.11 would like to modify the general language for coexistance to be included in the scope and is now recommending the following language for coexistence: • Devices complying with this amendment shall minimally impact the operation of 802.11 and 802.15 devices, along with other 802 wireless devices, already operating in the same bands. • Currently the VHT PAR uses the following language: • Provides mechanisms that enable coexistence with other systems in the band including IEEE 802.15.3c systems • Request that VHT modify this language to the below to reflect 802.11's current thinking. • Devices complying with this amendment shall minimally impact the operation of 802.11 and 802.15.3c devices, along with other 802 wireless devices, already operating in the same bands. Response to 802.15 • 802.11 recognizes the inconsistency in the submitted wording suggested for the coexistence portion of the scope statement by our feedback group. • 802.11 would request that 802.15 use the same language that was crafted jointly by lengthy discussion and disregard pages 13 & 15 of 08/1351r0 of our comments to the 802.15 group. • We suggest that both 802.15.4g and 802.11ad use the same language from the 802.11ad PAR which was the actual intent despite the error of what got passed to 802.15.
