What is Collaborative Strategic Reading? • Created for middle school students of all levels • It is a process that requires students to: • Work in smaller groups • Have focused academic conversations • Be aware of what and how you are thinking • `Will help you retain (remember) more information • Will make understanding challenge expository text easier

  4. Objectives I will be guided students an introduction of the Collaborative Strategic Reading  (CSR) process using a previously read chapter for familiarity and in preparation for a chapter assessment.  I will answer reading comprehensive questions, in the form of a short quiz (5 questions), with 80% accuracyat the end of the lesson.
