  3. Problem Statement Non-adherence of medications leads to 125,000 deaths per year and over $100 billion in indirect and direct costs. Non-adherence could be attributed to being unfamiliar with a new drug, forgetting to take the drug, and other reasons that can be prevented with technologies.
