  2. Self-Introduction • Write a 350 word response to the following question: • Where do you see yourself 10 years from now? How are you planning to get there? What goals have you set for yourself?

  3. 9/11 Tribute • What do you think life was like before 9/11. Write a 250 word response. Feel free to express your thoughts on the event. Also feel free to write about any personal experiences related to 9/11. • DUE MONDAY

Definitions - HOMEWORK • Find and remember the definitions for the following words: • Envelop – to surround • Envelope – a wrapper for a letter • Erasable – to rub out • Irascible – easily provoked to anger • Expand – to increase in size • Expend – To spend • Expect – to suppose; To look forward to • Suspect – To mistrust

  5. Definitions HOMEWORK • Accede – To Comply with • Exceed – to surpass • Accent – stress in speech or writing • Ascent – act of going up • Assent - consent • Accept – to agree or take what is offered • Except – leaving out or excluding • Access - admittance • Excess – surplus, too much

  6. Definitions - HOMEWORK • Adapt – to adjust • Adept - proficient • Adopt – to take by choice • Affect - feeling • Effect – consequence or result • Alley – narrow street • Ally – supporter, friend • All ready – completely ready • Already - even now or by this time.

  7. Goals • Short Term – Goals that you can accomplish within one year. • Mid-term – Goals that you can accomplish in one to five years • Long-term – Goals that you can accomplish in 5 years or more.

  8. Goals • Write 5 short terms goals and how you are planning to accomplish them. • Write 5 mid-term goals and how you are planning to accomplish them. • Write 5 long-term goals and how you are planning to accomplish them. • DUE MONDAY
