The text is the key. Think: “Keep Calm and Carry On” ADVICE / ADAGES / APHORISMS /QUOTES TYPOGRAPHY ASSIGNMENT • The assignment is simple (or is it?). Take a popular bit of advice, a saying, or a slogan, and use what you’ve learned about typography to make it look cool, interesting, and well-designed. • Emphasize the most important letters and words. Use colors creatively, sparingly, and for emphasis. Use your fonts creatively and appropriately. • Additional images should be fairly simple—remember that the text is the most important part of the composition. The background might possibly be just textures or a simple logo. This composition is “minimalist.”
