April Curriculum Updates: Measurement, Reading, Writing, and Science Activities

This month, we will be focusing on standard units of measurement, studying decimals and place value in Unit 10. Reading comprehension will enhance character and setting analysis, while word work will explore consonant patterns like "ph," "gh," "ck," and "ng." In writing, students will practice opinion writing, providing supporting details, using transition words, and restating their opinions clearly. In science, we will observe and measure the weather using various student-created instruments. Don't forget to check for any needed school supplies and ask your child for the newsletter's April password, "Ruby," for a treat!
