Measurement of Charged Kaon Lifetime: Insights from the 2004 Experiment

This study presents the measurement of the charged kaon's lifetime based on data collected during a meeting on July 29, 2004. Utilizing two distinct methods, the research analyzes multiple families of kaon decays, yielding a lifetime measurement of ( T = 12.35 pm 0.04 , ns ). Efficiency assessments indicate a good vertex identification rate and significant associations between kaon tracks and daughter particles. The findings underscore the necessity of expanding the data sample for further systematic studies, integral to understanding particle decay mechanisms.
