  3. Egypt The Pyramids of Giza were built as burial chamber for their Pharaohs. The first pyramid, the Stepped Pyramid of Zoser was built around 2700 BC

  5. Mexico The Kukulkan Pyramid in Chich'en Itzá, Mexico was built for astrological reasons (365 steps, vernal equinox and the autumnal equinox). It was built around 1000-1200 AD .

  6. Mexico The Pyramid of the Moon(left) and the Sun(right) in Teotihuacán, Mexico. They were built between 1-150 AD. Most aspects of this site are still a mystery.

  11. Japan? The monument at the Yonaguni site is listed to be 600feet wide, 240 feet long and 90 feet tall. It is dated to at least 8,000BC which is nearly 5,000 years before the Stepped Pyramid of Zoser! It may have been submerged at the end of the Ice Age. It is under 100 feet of water. It is still under debate whether this structure is natural or man made.
