  1. Eddie Gein By : Omar Ali

  2. Type Of Serial Killer Eddie Gein in my opinion was a process focused serial killer who killed his victims by various methods . Here are a few : Stabbing , dismemberment and skinning . He enjoyed the long , focused periods of time that he would spend with his victims who ranged from 50 year old women ( Mrs. Worden) to 15year old girls ( Evelyn Heartley) .

  3. Process Focused - Lust Killer majority of Eddie Gein's murders had a "sexually disturbed " meaning to them . Here are a few examples why : • Made a mask and suit composed of a woman's skin to help fuel his desire to be a woman (may have gender identity disorder) • Made a belt of female nipples • decapacitated some of his victims and skinned them • Put nine female vulvas in a shoe box

  4. Childhood/behavioral factors • Had a fanatically religious , domineering , authoritative mother (augusta ) who believed in raising Eddie and His older brother Henry according to her strict , conservative moral code . She taught them about the evil of people (women in particular) and discouraged any sexual desires they may have had.

  5. Childhood/ behavioral factors con't Eddie also had a weak and uninvolved alcoholic father . In 1914 , the family moved to Wisconsin to a 195 acre farm , fulfilling Eddie's mother's desire to escape "immoral people" and the world . They lived in complete isolation. Augusta was rarely happy with her boys and shunned them from making any friends or having social contact with others outside the home.

  7. Crimes And Victimology • Crimes began in the late 1940's and 1950's • Believed to be behind the cause of his brother Henry's mysterious death • Was a "mixed " killer , he displayed both traits (Disorganized)(absent or unstable father) , (poor hygiene/housekeeping skills) , (leaves a chaotic crime scene) and also (Organized )traits , (troubled family , verbal abuse , dismemberment of body , and responds best to a 1-1 interview.

  8. Crimes And Victimology Con't • Would often decapitate and skin his victims • Used their bodies to make various creations ,( bowls made from human skulls , lampshades , armchairs , wastebaskets and belts all made from human skin and organs) • Often used human heads and skulls as trophies

  9. Psychological Phases Of A Serial Killer • Aura involved reading obituaries , reading death-cult magazines , visiting graveyards and studying and reading about Nazi war experiments • Trolling included capturing random people ( majority of them resembled his mother) • Wooing included sweet-talking victims and bribing them • He often murdered his victims by shooting them , then he would mutilate their dead body • He then would use parts of their body to decorate his house

  10. Other Information • Robbed graveyards of bodies (often corpses who resembled his mother) • On March 27 , 1958 , his house was burned down , Gein replied after knowing this with "Just as well" • Died on July 26 , 1984 from respitory failure at the Mendota Mental Health Institute • Gein's legacy continued into books such as : Norman Bates (psycho) and Leatherface (Texas Chainsaw Massacre)

  11. Other Information Eddie was deemed mentally insane and was sentenced to an institution however staff there said that Eddie was always happy and he was probaly the happiest in his entire life in the mental hospital . staff said that he did basic deeds (minor construction , repair ) with such ease and no fuss . He occasionally flirted with female staff and was very polite to everybody . He was never given antidepressants or took medication . He behaved in a very "normal" matter.

  12. Quotes "When i see a pretty girl walking down the street I think two things :One part of me wants to take her out and the other part wants me to be nice and sweet and treat her right." "When asked if he wore skin face masks over a long period time Ed Replied " Not for too long . I had other things to do".
