  2. What is ANIEL? • ANIEL is the Spanish Association of Telecommunication Industries • Groups more than 200 SMEs in the telecommunications sector • Has direct feedback of the needs and possibilities of IST Spanish SMEs

What is AproTECH? • AproTECH is an ANIEL initiative to • Encourage Spanish IST SMEs to get involved in FP6. • Support SMEs that have no time or resources to get into FP6 single-handed (not even to search IDEAL-IST). • Propose and Manage new initatives that are interesting to the affiliated industries. • And furthermore, match the different affiliated industries with new or existing initiatives. • We can do it because of the existing extensive database of our affiliates and continous feedback. • The initiative is 1 month old and more than 40 Spanish SMEs are already involved in AproTECH (and more coming...)

  4. What is SMEi? • SME MATCH EU Initiative is aimed to replicate the AproTECH initiative at a European level. • More than 10 sister associations to ANIEL in different countries of the EU have been already contacted for possible partnership. • Looking for more potential partners.

  5. Key points of SMEi • 3 year span initiative. • Building a dynamic database of EU IST SMEs • To enable accurate information of both industries and existing and possible initiatives. • Provide support form simple assessing to management of proposals. • Quick response to SMEs demands.
