Aims of WAGGGS advocacy@ global events Raise visibility and awareness of WAGGGS as voice of girls and young women and for WAGGGS as expert on the topic in question Have young women in leading roles as speakers, moderators, representatives, etc. Maximize impact at the event by running side-events, stands, panel discussions, etc. Network, follow-up on existing partnerships and explore new potential partnerships

Youth Delegate Selection Event related reps criteria: Outstanding youth del the year before Prior approval by MO before they are approached Youth delegate criteria: Age, Language Expert on topic, running a related Guiding project Region/country of origin Self/external funded Previous experience and involvement Commitment to engage in preparation and follow-up Endorsement by MO

MO and offsite involvement Host MO can be strongly involved (varying degrees of commitment so far) Members join related campaigns, surveys, research running up to events Calls to action – usually 1 big one Information on event available on line, Our World, etc daily updates and photos MOs with youth delegates are encouraged to support them with their preparation and follow-up projects, engage in media outreach, use youth dels for national board, projects and programmes, etc.
