  1. Simple But Effective SEO Tips: Keep Your Content Up To Date WWW.NEWPATHWEB.COM.AU

  2. Do You Remember The First Two Weeks Of Your New Website? We get it all the time where clients will come to us raving about a terrific launch that is generating lots of enquiries, and then suddenly, there is a slow tapering away of interest until all the rave dies down. It happens all the time. But why? For people that don’t understand SEO, they start blaming Google, blaming competitors or even blaming their marketing agency.

  3. Let Me Tell You: The Relevance Of Your Content Is To Blame Relevant content essentially talks about how fresh it is. When you understand what Google’s thinking, it makes a lot of sense. Imagine a situation where there are three competitors, all selling black pens. All three launch on the same day with similar websites. However, two weeks after launch, the latest in the line of black pens from another brand is released with extra grip and wrist support. Now, only two out of the three websites will choose to update their merchandise. Then four weeks later another new pen comes out, and yet again, only two out of three websites make the choice to update.Of course, this is the story for most businesses: refreshing the website when new stock comes, but otherwise, who cares?

  4. What We Didn’t Talk About In This Scenario Was The Web Ranking That Each Website Had Obviously, the website that didn’t update isn’t doing very well. With no new products for six weeks, it’s no surprise that their website traffic has plummeted. The websites that chose to update their pages have benefited in relevance as a result. Let’s say one of the websites decides to sell their products, not just through individual listings but by highlighting all the benefits available in a blog post with the keyword ‘buy black pens online’ for all their users to see? Well lo and behold: their website has started to rank number one for their targeted keyword because of their additional content.

  5. Google Looked At All The Extra Content, Optimised For The Keyword And Said That It Was More Relevant To Customers See, Google wants their users to have a good time. If someone searches ‘buy black pens online’, obviously Google doesn’t want to show a website that has a complete lack of updated products. It is much more likely to show a website relevant content because it will give potential users more information, resulting in a better experience. You need to work hard to add value to your website for users, and Google will reward you as a result. Whether we’re talking weekly blogging, increased content amounts on new products added or just refreshing landing page content on a regular basis; ‘new’ content is king.

  6. It’s Not That Easy Though Yeah, we know. Sorry, but neither was SSL certification. But in order to see results, it must be done. We’ve seen clients come in with no content on their websites and nothing being updated, and honestly, there is only so much you can do without relevant content and optimised keywords. Whenever you are in doubt, think of this simple analogy: The fishing rod is your website. The fishing lure is your blogs posted on backlinks. It doesn’t matter if you have the best fishing rod in the world, in six weeks time, it isn’t going to be the best anymore. In 6 months, it’ll be even worse.
