  1. How to Choose the Right Black Nickel Plating

  2. Black nickel plating is actually an alloy coating. Different liquid composition, different alloy composition. Black nickel plating is used in the optical industry, in the manufacture of weapons and in the labeling. Usually 2μm thick black nickel plating, poor corrosion resistance, after coating. • Black nickel plating solutions come in two flavors, the first one in addition to nickel salts is zinc sulphate and sulfoxyanide salts. The black coating from this solution contains 40-60% nickel, zinc 20-30% sulfur 10-15%, organic 10%. In the process of coating, the sulfur in the CNS ion - converted into sulfur ion, combined with nickel to form the black nickel sulfate. The decomposition of the sulfonic acid salt is the main cause of organic matter in the coating. • Black nickel plating to decorate or use as a light absorber in the optical industry. Black nickel plating is less flexible, less resistant to corrosion and less tightly packed with galvanized parts, especially steel. Therefore, it is usually plated in front of a copper or nickel-plated layer. Black nickel plating thickness does not exceed 0.5 microns. • Black nickel plating is good resistance to oxidation. • - After the nickel plating stage, the product is passed through the dye tank to obtain black color for the product and pass a passive layer of chromium to give the product color durability.
