Food2Market project • The aim of the FOOD2MARKET project is to • increase NWE SMEs' capacity to bring food innovations to the market, • by supporting them to rapidly react to market trends and • accelerate the transformation of ideas and knowledge into new products, processes and services that increase SMEs’ competitiveness.

Providing SMEs with the necessary insight into regulations and market trends through a market trends observatory Match-making SMEs with knowledge providers, research facilities and other food and non-food processing industries that can provide the necessary technology,facilities and know-how Joined test-beds and distribution brokerage actions Implementing a virtual product ideation laboratory that allows SMEs to work with consumers and retailers to generate new product ideas based on their needs and desires Facilitating SME access to existing funding schemes (public/private) to develop transnational innovation projects ... Transnational guiding approach for food-processing SMEs Innovation process stages

Food2Market project • BENEFITS SME’s: increase competitiveness • SME’s have a central place: increasing the innovation capacity and organizing/managing innovation in a structured way • Covering the complete innovation process: from idea to products on the market • Increased (transnational) market share • Coaching and learning/training (innovation instruments, tools) • Transnational networking: cross border activities

Food2Market project • BENEFIT PARTNERS: • Transnational collaboration: new experience • Gaining new knowledge: using the expertise of the other partners and not re-inventing the wheel • Advantage of a transnational cooperation: combining the expertise of the partners • Example: • FF: scientific/technological focus • FV: trends, idea generation • FCP: VoC(onsumer), marketing • FPI: knowledge transfer, marketing
