The “World Health Organization A part of the UN W.H.O. collects data on world health and helps nations improve the health of their people Many countries also come to the aid of other countries after a disaster For example the US Navy often help by evacuating people and bringing in hospital ships and supplies.

The Red Cross/Crescent delivers food, shelter and medical care to people during war and natural disasters It has a society in each nation and a coordinating international council • Doctors Without Borders delivers medical help to populations endangered by war,epidemics, or natural disasters. These and many other organizations are busy right now giving relief to people who survived the Typhoon in the Philippines
