  2. 60 years of Growth ! It has become increasingly challenging to provide first class service to all our members

  3. 60 years of Growth ! To maintain this growth and high level of service to our members is propelling D42 to proceed with Reformation into two Districts

  4. 60 years of Growth ! Providing services and opportunities to our members is of primary importance Two smaller Districts allows provision of more and even better services to members

  5. Recommendation • RecommendNorthern Divisions (plus Red Deer vicinity) in one District, Southern Divisions in the other District • Options considered • Northern Divisions -- Southern Divisions • Alberta -- Saskatchewan • Southern Alberta -- Sask and Northern Alberta • Blend with neighbouring Districts

  6. Why this recommendation ? • Creates balanced Districts of totalclubs and membership • Maintains strength of leadership • Reduces some travel requirements • Ensures base of potential growth • International policy requires newly reformed Districts to be at least 100 clubs

  7. Next Steps • DEC approval Sep 13 • District Council approval Nov 8 • Consultation & communication within D42 • Proposal to World HQ early December • Board of Directors considers in February • If approved, Dual LGET’s and LGM’s elected May 2015 • Districts potentially effective July 1, 2016
