TAP TSI is about telematics applications for passenger services and addresses several PRR and Interoperability Directive requirements Passengers’ Rights Regulation (EC) No 1371/2007 Interoperability Directive12008/57/EC Extracts Establish a Computerised Information & Reservation System for Rail Transport, providing customers, amongst others, with: • Pre-journey customer information, e.g. • Time schedules and conditions for the fastest trip and lowest fare • Accessibility, availability • Information during the journey • On-board services • Next station, delays, connecting services • Implement applications for passenger services, for instance: • Systems providing passengers with information before and during journey • Reservation and payment systems • Develop databases, software, data protocols in a manner allowing maximum data exchange between different applications and operators In force since 13 May 2011 Commission Regulation (EU) No 454/2011 1) Primary legal basis for TAP TSI
