Clicker Adoption at Penn State • 2004 IR Response System Piloted Unsuccessfully • 2006 RF Systems Piloted Successfully • 2007 Interwrite PRS RF Adopted for Standardization Penn State Altoona, Berks, Brandywine, Erie, Fayette, Harrisburg, University Park, Worthington Scranton, & York • 2010 (Fall) Required Software Update Unstable • 2010 (Fall) System Abandoned (Negotiated return of more than 10,500 student units in use Penn State-wide)

Spring 2011 Clicker Pilot • Identified Suitable Replacement Products • Indentified Systems Used at CIC (Big 10) & CCUMC (Consortium of College & University Media Center) Institutions • Benchmark Visits to Cornell, Univ. of Delaware, & Univ. of Maryland (class sizes similar to Penn State) • Invitation to Participate to Current Clicker Instructors • Arranged for Loaner/Rental Clickers for Students for Spring 2011 Semester (no cost to students)
