Bioscience Cluster History January 2004: Fort Collins Tech Incubator convened the first meeting of the “Fort Collins Bioscience Initiative.” June 2004: Bioscience Initiative and CBSA hosted the first Bioscience Larimer County program at the Lincoln Center. June 2005: Bioscience strategic plan completed, “Building Northern Colorado’s Bioscience Future.” By the Larimer County Bioscience Initiative. November 2006: City of Fort Collins and CBSA agreed to fund a part time contract position to provide leadership for the Larimer County Bioscience Cluster. www.fcgov.com/business

Bioscience Cluster Plan Update Strategy I: Improve availability of funding for bioscience companies, especially seed and early stage. 2006 Accomplishments • Improved visibility of Larimer Bioscience Startups to Bioscience VCs statewide • Encouraged CSURF’s development of a pre venture funding program • Provided SBIR Grant educational opportunities www.fcgov.com/business
