  2. A Whale of a Tale Well, the tale of the whale is a whale of a tale: it's a story of the deep blue sea; about a fish and a man named Jonah, who was a lot like you and me.

  3. Well, Jonah was a prophet, you see, (I see,_) and a very fine man was he, (was he,_) but when the Lord said, "Jonah, will you work for me?" he ran from responsibility, (not he?__) yes, he, __ (Oh no, _ Oh my, _ (Oh me!__)

  4. Well, the Lord said, "Jo-nah, I want you to go to a place called Nin-e-veh-town, and tell those people in their evil ways that they better stop foolin' a-round."

  5. Well, Jonah didn't venture to go, (Oh no!__) because he didn't want the people to know, (not know?) because they were the en-e-my of Is-ra-el, and a big, bad, bit-ter foe. (Oh, no __ not he,__) yes he, (Oh no,) Oh my, _ (Oh me!__)

  6. Well, the tale of the whale is a whale of a tale: just listen and you will see how the Lord loves all of his children, and he speaks to you and me! Shoo bee doo bee doo wah! Yeah!

  12. It’s A Sailor’s Life It's a sail-or's life for us, not a wor-ry, not a fuss; have you ev-er seen such a hap-py crew? We know who we are and we know what to do: we're at our best when we're sailin’ through the ocean blue.

  21. Jonah’s Prayer Jonah: Dear Lord, I’m a little bit afraid. Oh Lord, I’m a little bit frightened. It’s rather dark, it’s awf’lly clammy It smells like fish; Could I be saved? Yes Lord, I’m a little bit afraid; No, Lord, make that very much afraid. Do you think it might be possible that your servant Jonah could be saved?

  22. All: Jonah prayed to the Lord, Jonah called to the Lord in his fear. Jonah pleaded with the Lord for mercy: Jonah cried, “Oh Lord, please hear!” And then God spoke to Jonah, “Look inside your soul and hear: When you pray to the Lord, then I am near.”

  23. Jonah: Dear Lord, I’m a little bit alone. Oh Lord, I’m a little bit lonely. It’s rather damp, it’s aw-f’lly chilly, it makes me hurt; could I go home? Yes, Lord, I’m a little bit alone: No, Lord, make that very much alone. Do your think it might be possible that your servant Jonah could go home?

Teach “Hallelujah,” sing, whale,…No that’s not right… Sing, “Hallelujah,” whale teach…No, that’s not right either…I’ll try again Teach, whale, “Hallelujah,” sing…Ohhh, I’m getting warm! Teach, whale, sing “Hallelujah,” Teach the whale to sing “Hallelujah!” That’s it!!!!
