How do I choose generator type for a site either open type or silent type generator

According to CPCB (Central Pollution Control Board) of India, one should only buy silent type genset (to reduce noise pollution), which has sound level less than 75 dB (up to 1000 kVA) and 1m away from homes in an open environment (i.e. where there are no restrictions which can cause sound to bounce back). <br>However, people in rural India are still using open gensets, as CPCB is unable to reach there. Usually, a silent genset engine has a life of 20,000 hours or 20 years, but if the daily use of genset is reduced by improving power situation, then it will probably have much longer life. <br>However, there are silent gensets by TMTL which have crossed 30,000 hours. Hence, I would recommend you to buy TMTL silent gensets as they have 62.5kVa gensets which work under unfavourable conditions. Also, checked by the dB meter, it fulfils the criteria of CPCB.<br><br>
