What is ? To get started, open up Firefox or Internet Explorer echo is a web portal where assignments, discussions, grades, and resources can be found for your classes.
Echo should be your homepage. Its URL is https://echo.newtechnetwork.org/
Your login is the same as your email address, which will be: firstname.lastname@djusdk12ca.org Passwords distributed to parents/guardians/students Make sure you typed your name as it is on your ID. If you have two last names, use both (no space or hyphen between). Case doesn’t matter (“Happy” is the same as “happy”.)
You should see something that looks like this: Spend a few minutes exploring. You may want to set up your profile. You’ll have a Google session where the “Google Apps” link and the Google info at the bottom of your homepage is explained, so don’t worry about those now.
Getting around Get to Google Docs, Sites, Mail and more Basic setup of your account. Log out of echo and google. Courses lists your classes, and is where you’ll go to get class assignments, turn in some work, etc.. Groups is one place to collaborate with others on projects. Highlighted tab and icon show where in echo you currently are. Home has overview information about Da Vinci and shows some highlights of your google account.
Taking a course with Click on your courses tab and then on the title “Echo Training”
Taking a course with At nex+ɢenyou’ll spend a lot of time on the projects tab. You’ll have time to explore other parts later, but for now go to the projects tab.
Taking a course with Some of your courses will have more projects, but this course’s only project is “Echo.” If you click on that project you’ll see this page.
At the top is some general information, including due dates. Have any Need To Knows? Just takes a moment to post one. The Project Briefcase contains activities, resources, and more for your project. This mini-project only has one activity– to do it, click “Writing a Journal.
Clicking “Respond” will extend the page giving you space to respond. Write your response (hopefully more thoughtful than Happy’s.) Include a note to the teacher if you want, and click Save to submit your journal. Include a file if you want. Seeing the drop menu is an Echo bug. There’s a few of them.
