  2. Progress since September 9th • Sector 12: • QPS IST finishing. The first sector took longer than expected, and its experiment shows that 3 steps are needed for the full commissioning of the nQPS system. But the results are there. • Powering tests phase 2 in progress • Sector 23 • ELQA at cold finished • nPST racks installed, the tests for 2kA willfollow the 6kA tests in sector 78 • Powering phase 2 of the mains willstart in wk. 43 (2 wks. of delay w.r.t September 9th ) • Sector 34 • DSLC filling this week-end, boil-off will be done next week, • 2 wks. of delay w.r.t September 9th (Logistic) • Sector 45 • ELQA at cold finishing, some delays due to DFBA consolidation (valves and filter) • Powering test, pahse 1 juststarting • 1.5 wks. of delay w.r.t September 9th K. Schedule outcomes • Powering phase 2 • durations (number of shifts): the experiment of sector 12 shows that the number of shifts was overestimated, • but the experiment of sector 12 shows that about two weeks are needed to commission the system at 2kA & 6kA (part of the powering tests).   6. Remaining activities • Doors: PM18 and SPS • Floor painting • Smoothing and beam vacuum chamber alignment in sector 34 • Test of UPS batteries All the machine areas have been cleaned again, all the “alone” materials have been removed. So please keep the areas clean. K. Foraz - LMC

  7. Conclusion • Machine cold in wk.41 • Powering tests phase 2 • Experiment of the first sector was very good • Durations (in term of shifts) were overestimated • New tests to be included for the nQPS • End of powering tests phase 2 = wk.47 (+1.5wks) K. Foraz - LMC
