6. Drinking waterIn Timisoara • Supply from 2 sources: 30% drills, 70% River Bega; • Automatic pressure controlin the supply system; • State-of-the-art technology for water treatment - on-line monitoring and automatic dosing of the reagents on entire process flow, from catchment to distribution.

Applied research • 3 pilot plants scaled with the treatment facilities, to monitor the process flow for groundwater and surface water treatment, and wastewater treatment; • Studies on the optimisation of stages of the water treatment process; • Use of new coagulation agents; • Biodegradation tests.

Sustainable developmentISPA Funds • Rehabilitation of the WWTP; • Rehabilitation of 2.46 km and extension of 10 km of the sewerage system; Rehabilitation of the treatment technology of wastewater and improving the sewerage network for the population of Timisoara city, situated in the Timis County in Romania • 45.36 mil. Euro,out of which 32.2 mil. Euro grant.

10. Sustainable development Cohesion Funds • The ISPA Measure ensures the Technical Assistance for the preparation of the Timis County Master Plan and the Financing Application for Cohesion Funds; • The Feasibility Studies for priority investments are in progress; • The Financing Application is to be submitted by Aquatim at the end of January 2009.
