Designing eAuctions
This document outlines the experiences, evaluations, and conclusions drawn from a specialized electronic commerce course for Information Management students. With a focus on designing eAuctions, the course involved 110 students who completed assignments to create prototypes for various products and services. The findings reveal the importance of hands-on learning, the necessity of adequate facilities, and the positive impact of collaboration with external partners like InfoCommerce. Overall, students appreciated the assignment but noted concerns about workload and space limitations.

Experiences and Evaluation • Students like the assignment; critique on course: working load too heavy • eRoom (J1-30) too small (16 places for 110 students) • Role “InfoCommerce” positive 2001 (c) Eric van Heck
Conclusions • Learning to design is ‘learning by doing’. • Learning objectives are met. • eRoom facilities are essential - We (RSM and FBK) have to invest more in it. • Next year: wireless component 2001 (c) Eric van Heck
