  2. Roles and Responsibilitiesof the Profession • Assist customers • Banking transactions • Count money • Wire transactions • Mail transactions • ATM transactions • Balance teller line drawer

  3. Activities and ProjectsI saw my mentor involved in • Assisting in helping customers. • Banking transactions • Counting money, balancing the teller drawer

  4. Activities and Projectsmy mentor allowed me to participate in as a high school intern • Everything that I asked to do and everything that she wanted me to learn.

  5. This profession matched my expectations in the following ways… • I learned more than what people see tellers do. There are certain days where its non stop working and there are some other days where there is some down time.

  6. This profession was not what I expected in the following ways… • I expected pretty much everything that I had to do.

  7. The Environment in which I worked… • The pace was at times very fast, and there are other times where its slow. Its either one or the other. • The number of other tellers that I worked with were 3. • A typical day was working with Charlene and learning everything there is to know. • The bank is located in Mount Airy

  8. The People I worked with… • Most of the people that come in to that bank are very friendly. • I didn’t come in contact with anyone at the bank that worked there that was rude, everyone seemed to be nice. • The other type of people I came in contact with were small business owners.

  9. My advice for students interested in this field/profession… • List your suggestions • Maybe suggest some experiences that you would have liked to have had the chance to participate in during your semester

  10. I chose to intern in this professional areabecause… • At first I was interested in finding a internship at a sports place. Cheryl is a close family friend that offered the teller internship to me. She also said that I will be learning the other aspects of the bank. It will be a good resume builder after college.

  11. During Senior Internship I learned… • I learned that a bank is an important aspect to peoples everyday lives. • I learned that working at a bank could turn into long days. Some days seem to last forever and others seemed to go fast. You have to learn to make good out of every situation you are in. • It was good that I completed this internship because Cheryl offered me a job for the summer time and winter breaks.

  12. My Internship • Valley Green Bank • 7226 Germantown Ave  Philadelphia, PA 19119https://www.valleygreenbank.com/ • Charlene Sowyer • Bank teller
