  1. ELA & Art Project October 9th, 2014

ELA – Research Project • You must pick on professional artist from a short list that I will be giving you. • You must research information about the artist. • I want to know: • Date of birth and death • The type of art he enjoyed making • Paintings, drawings, mosaics, faces, flowers, etc. • Why or where his / her ideas for art • You must also include a picture of your artist on your poster.

  3. Art Project • Now that you’ve researched your artist and you know what type of art they use to enjoy making, it is your turn to try to become that artist. • You must pick one of the pieces of artwork from your artist and you must try to recreate something similar.

  4. Possible Artists to choose: • Picasso (faces only) • Vincent van Gogh • Wanda Gag • Jessie Willcox Smith (Alice in Wonderland)

  5. Final Project • 1 picture of your artist • 1 page write up about your artist • 1 picture of your artists’ work that you chose to make. The real picture must be glued on a big piece of paper beside the picture that you made.
