Introduction • The City & Guilds qualifications inIT User Skills (ITQ) have been designed to allow centres to employ the most appropriate method of assessment for their learners and their environment. • It is a flexible qualification that can be used to support classroom learning or work/home based assessment as required. • To achieve the qualification learners may be supported by teacher assignments plus online exercises, a Course Management System, and an iPortfolio from Londonlearning.

  3. Main changes • Nine qualifications at 3 levels • Unit credit rating • New Mandatory unit at 2 levels • 29 new units • No more external online tests • Replaced by new iPortfolio assignment • New Portfolio requirements • New teaching requirements

Registration • Candidates will register for the ITQ suite • Initial payment for minimum of 3 optional units • Fee £20 per unit L1 & 2, £35 L3 • Mandatory unit £7 L1 & L2, £15 L3 • No additional charge for registered L1 units when submitted as part of higher Level 2 qualification within 3 years of initial registration. Similar for L3. • Centres to indicate units for verification on new registration/certification template • N.B. Candidates can not count same unit at different levels, only the higher credited unit accepted.

  21. Moderation for Unit certification • All unit evidence submitted for the qualificationmust be uploaded by the candidate in the CMS. • The centre is responsible for initially assessing and moderating the candidate’s evidence and notifying Londonlearning for further moderation • Unit evidence submitted for the Certificate or Diploma must also be uploaded in an iPortfolio containing evidence for the Mandatory unit. • The centre must record Witness testimony evidence and internal verification comment in the iPortfolio.
