History • Established in 1925 by John F. Archbold as the John D. Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville, Georgia in memory of his father • The facility is now Archbold Medical Center, comprising five hospitals, four nursing homes and home health agency employing 2500 people

Volunteers • Archbold utilizes “approximately 120 hospital auxiliary members (pinkladies) which includes several men.” Will Watt, CCSS, Director of Customer Service • Volunteers are screened through a formal application process and serve in such areas as the information desk, gift shop and auxiliary administration
Marketing Archbold uses several marketing methods: • Solicitations from vendors and private citizens • Annual golf tournament • Hospital web site • ‘Tree of Lights’ at Christmas • Direct mail to prior donors

Scholarship Program • Archbold offers a scholarship program to students pursuing education in the health field, both for technical and college degree programs • Preference for job placement is given upon graduation
