  9. GANESHA CHATURTI The elephant-headed Hindu deity Ganesha is one of the most popular divinities in Indian mythology, being gentle and favourable to humankind. Created by Parvati from the dew of her body mixed with dust, he is keeper of the goddess’s gate. IT IS CELEBRATED IN GRAND MANNER IN ALL OVER INDIA. IDOLS ARE PLACED EVERYWHERE AND POOJA IS DONE IN A VERY GRAND MANNER. HE IS CONSIDER TO BE FIRST GOD TO BE PRAYED WHO EASILY GIVE GOOD WISHES TO THE DEVOTEES.
