  3. READ: EZEKIEL 13:1-2 WOE TO FOOLISH PROPHETS 1 And the word of the LORD came to me, saying, 2 "Son of man, prophesy against the prophets of Israel who prophesy, and say to those who prophesy out of their own heart, 'Hear the word of the LORD!'"

READ: JEREMIAH 6:14 14 They have also healed the hurt of My people slightly, Saying, 'Peace, peace!‘ When there is no peace. READ: JEREMIAH 14:13 13 Then I said, "Ah, Lord GOD! Behold, the prophets say to them, 'You shall not see the sword, nor shall you have famine, but I will give you assured peace in this place.'" NKJV

READ: JEREMIAH 23:16 16 Thus says the LORD of hosts: "Do not listen to the words of the prophets who prophesy to you. They make you worthless; They speak a vision of their own heart, Not from the mouth of the LORD. NKJV READ: JEREMIAH 23:38 38 But since you say, 'The oracle of the LORD!' therefore thus says the LORD: 'Because you say this word, "The oracle of the LORD!" and I have sent to you, saying, "Do not say, 'The oracle of the LORD!'" NKJV

READ: JEREMIAH 28:15-16 15 Then the prophet Jeremiah said to Hananiah the prophet, "Hear now, Hananiah, the LORD has not sent you, but you make this people trust in a lie. 16 Therefore thus says the LORD: 'Behold, I will cast you from the face of the earth. This year you shall die, because you have taught rebellion against the LORD.'"

NKJV READ: ISAIAH 13:1 1 The burden against Babylon which Isaiah the son of Amoz saw. NKJV WHO WAS AMOS? WHAT DID AMOS PROPHESY? READ: AMOS 1:1 1 The words of Amos, who was among the sheep breeders of Tekoa, which he saw concerning Israel in the days of Uzziah king of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam the son of Joash, king of Israel, two years before the earthquake. NKJV

  13. QUESTIONS: EZEKIEL 13:3 WOE TO FOOLISH PROPHETS 3 Thus says the Lord GOD: "Woe to the foolish prophets, who follow their own spirit and have seen nothing! WHAT DO THE SCRIPTURES SAY ABOUT HOSEA? WHAT DID HOSEA PROPHESY? READ: HOSEA 9:7 7 The days of punishment have come; The days of recompense have come. Israel knows! The prophet is a fool, The spiritual man is insane, Because of the greatness of your iniquity and great enmity. NKJV

WHAT DID JEREMIAH SAY ABOUT THESE PROPHETS? READ: LAMENTATIONS 2:14 14 Your prophets have seen for you False and deceptive visions; They have not uncovered your iniquity, To bring back your captives,But have envisioned for you false prophecies and delusions.

READ: JEREMIAH 23:25-27 25 "I have heard what the prophets have said who prophesy lies in My name, saying, 'I have dreamed, I have dreamed!' 26 How long will this be in the heart of the prophets who prophesy lies? Indeed they are prophets of the deceit of their own heart, 27 who try to make My people forget My name by their dreams which everyone tells his neighbor, as their fathers forgot My name for Baal. NKJV

READ: JEREMIAH 23:28-30 28 "The prophet who has a dream, let him tell a dream; And he who has My word, let him speak My word faithfully. What is the chaff to the wheat?" says the LORD. 29 "Is not My word like a fire?" says the LORD, "And like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces? 30 "Therefore behold, I am against the prophets," says the LORD, "who steal My words every one from his neighbor.” NKJV

  17. QUESTIONS: EZEKIEL 13:3 WOE TO FOOLISH PROPHETS 3 Thus says the Lord GOD: "Woe to the foolish prophets, who follow their own spirit and have seen nothing! WHAT DID PAUL SAY TO THE CORINTHIANS? READ: 1 CORINTHIANS 1:19-22 19 For it is written: "I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, And bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent." 20 Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the disputer of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? 21 For since, in the wisdom of God, the world through wisdom did not know God, it pleased God through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe. NKJV

  18. QUESTIONS: EZEKIEL 13:4 WOE TO FOOLISH PROPHETS 4 O Israel, your prophets are like foxes in the deserts. WHAT DID THE LORD SAY ABOUT THESE PROPHETS? WHAT WERE THE FOXES DOING? READ: SONG 2:15 15 Catch us the foxes, The little foxes that spoil the vines, For our vines have tender grapes. NKJV

  19. QUESTIONS: EZEKIEL 13:4 WOE TO FOOLISH PROPHETS 4 O Israel, your prophets are like foxes in the deserts. WHAT WERE THE FOXES DOING TO THE VINE? WHAT IS THIS VINE? READ: ISAIAH 5:1-2 GOD'S DISAPPOINTING VINEYARD 1 Now let me sing to my Well-beloved A song of my Beloved regarding His vineyard: My Well-beloved has a vineyard On a very fruitful hill. 2 He dug it up and cleared out its stones, And planted it with the choicest vine. He built a tower in its midst, And also made a winepress in it; So He expected it to bring forth good grapes, But it brought forth wild grapes. NKJV

  20. QUESTIONS: EZEKIEL 13:4 4 O Israel, your prophets are like foxes in the deserts. WHAT WERE THE FOXES DOING TO THE VINE? WHAT IS THE VINE? READ: ISAIAH 5:7 7 For the vineyard of the LORD of hosts is the house of Israel, And the men of Judah are His pleasant plant. He looked for justice, but behold, oppression; For righteousness, but behold, a cry for help. NKJV READ: JEREMIAH 2:21 21 I had planted you a noble vine, a seed of highest quality. How then have you turned before Me Into the degenerate plant of an alien vine? NKJV

  21. QUESTIONS: EZEKIEL 13:5 5 You have not gone up into the gaps to build a wall for the house of Israel to stand in battle on the day of the LORD. WHAT DID THE PROPHETS FAIL TO DO? WHY DID THE LORD BREAK DOWN THEIR HEDGES? READ: ISAIAH 5:2-5 2 He dug it up and cleared out its stones, And planted it with the choicest vine. He built a tower in its midst, And also made a winepress in it; So He expected it to bring forth good grapes, But it brought forth wild grapes. 5 And now, please let Me tell you what I will do to My vineyard: I will take away its hedge, and it shall be burned; And break down its wall, and it shall be trampled down. NKJV

READ: PSALMS 80:15-16 15 And the vineyard which Your right hand has planted, And the branch that You made strong for Yourself. 16 It is burned with fire, it is cut down; They perish at the rebuke of Your countenance. NKJV READ: LAMENTATIONS 5:18 18 Because of Mount Zion which is desolate, With foxes walking about on it. NKJV

WHY DID THE LORD BREAK DOWN THEIR HEDGES? READ: PSALMS 80:12 12 Why have You broken down her hedges, So that all who pass by the way pluck her fruit? NKJV WHAT DID MOSES DO? READ: PSALMS 106:23 23 Therefore He said that He would destroy them, Had not Moses His chosen one stood before Him in the breach, To turn away His wrath, lest He destroy them.

  24. READ: EZEKIEL 13:6-7 WOE TO FOOLISH PROPHETS 6 They have envisioned futility and false divination, saying, 'Thus says the LORD!' But the LORD has not sent them; yet they hope that the word may be confirmed. 7 Have you not seen a futile vision, and have you not spoken false divination? You say, 'The LORD says,' but I have not spoken."

But the LORD has not sent them; yet they hope that the word may be confirmed. 7 Have you not seen a futile vision, and have you not spoken false divination? You say, 'The LORD says,' but I have not spoken." WHAT DID THE LORD SAY ABOUT THEIR VISIONS?

I have not sent them, commanded them, nor spoken to them; they prophesy to you a false vision, divination, a worthless thing,and the deceit of their heart. 15 Therefore thus says the LORD concerning the prophets who prophesy in My name, whom I did not send, and who say, 'Sword and famine shall not be in this land' — 'By sword and famine those prophets shall be consumed! READ: ISAIAH 30:9-11 9 This is a rebellious people, Lying children, Children who will not hear the law of the LORD; 10 Who say to the seers, "Do not see,“ And to the prophets, "Do not prophesy to us right things; Speak to us smooth things, prophesy deceits. 11 Get out of the way, Turn aside from the path, Cause the Holy One of Israel To cease from before us."

But the LORD has not sent them; yet they hope that the word may be confirmed. 7 Have you not seen a futile vision, and have you not spoken false divination? You say, 'The LORD says,' but I have not spoken." WHAT DID THE LORD WANT JEREMIAH TO DO? WHY? READ: JEREMIAH 5:1 1 Run to and fro through the streets of Jerusalem; See now and know; And seek in her open places If you can find a man, If there is anyone who executes judgment, Who seeks the truth, And I will pardon her.

You say, 'The LORD says,' but I have not spoken." WHAT DID PAUL SAY TO THE CORINTHIANS? READ: 2 THESSALONIANS 2:11-12 11 And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, thatthey should believe the lie, 12 that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

Then you shall know that I am the Lord GOD.

Then you shall know that I am the Lord GOD. HOW DID THE LORD RESPOND TO THESE PROPHETS? WHAT IS THE LORD KEEPING A RECORD OF? WHY?

  34. QUESTIONS: EZEKIEL 13:8 8 Therefore thus says the Lord GOD: "Because you have spoken nonsense and envisioned lies, therefore I am indeed against you," says the Lord GOD. DID THE LORD WARN THEM ABOUT THIS? READ: DEUTERONOMY 13:1-3 1 "If there arises among you a prophet or a dreamer of dreams, and he gives you a sign or a wonder, 2 and the sign or the wonder comes to pass, of which he spoke to you, saying, 'Let us go after other gods' — which you have not known — 'and let us serve them,' 3 you shall not listen to the words of that prophet or that dreamer of dreams, for the LORD your God is testing you to know whether you love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul. NKJV

  35. QUESTIONS: EZEKIEL 13:8 WOE TO FOOLISH PROPHETS 8 Therefore thus says the Lord GOD: "Because you have spoken nonsense and envisioned lies, therefore I am indeed against you," says the Lord GOD. HOW DID THE LORD RESPOND TO THESE PROPHETS? READ: JEREMIAH 23:13 13 "And I have seen folly in the prophets of Samaria: They prophesied by Baal And caused My people Israel to err. NKJV

QUESTIONS: EZEKIEL 13:9 9 "My hand will be against the prophets who envision futility and who divine lies; they shall not be in the assembly of My people, nor be written in the record of the house of Israel, nor shall they enter into the land of Israel. Then you shall know that I am the Lord GOD. WHAT IS THE LORD KEEPING A RECORD OF? WHY? READ: PSALMS 69:27-28 27 Add iniquity to their iniquity, And let them not come into Your righteousness. 28 Let them be blotted out of the book of the living, And not be written with the righteous. READ: PSALMS 87:6 6 The LORD will record, When He registers the peoples: "This one was born there.“ NKJV READ: EXODUS 32:32 32 Yet now, if You will forgive their sin — but if not, I pray, blot me out of Your book which You have written."

"Those who depart from Me Shall be written in the earth, Because they have forsaken the LORD, The fountain of living waters." NKJV

And at that time your people shall be delivered, Every one who is found written in the book. NKJV

READ: EZEKIEL 13:10-11 WOE TO FOOLISH PROPHETS 10 "Because, indeed, because they have seduced My people, saying,'Peace!' when there is no peace — and one builds a wall, and they plaster it with untempered mortar — 11 say to those who plaster it with untempered mortar, that it will fall. There will be flooding rain, and you, O great hailstones, shall fall; and a stormy wind shall tear it down.
