After viewing a show or visiting the gallery, be sure to stop at the café, where you can grab something to drink and eat before heading back out into the world. The Toms River’s Seaport Society is dedicated to preserving the township’s rich nautical history. Founded in 1976, this non- profit group has an impressive collection of boats, including indigenous vessels and historic craft built in the area. The museum has two boat sheds that you can roam around in to check out all of the exhibits; there is also a library full of books that detail their histories and an on-site gift shop for souvenirs.
