Contact North – Key Principles • Adding Value • Choice of any particular technology ought to be based on the principle that it adds value to the task at hand • A Pedagogical Focus • The prime but not sole mandate for technology in learning must be on learning itself • Quality • Is defined by explicit criteria and standards

Contact North – Key Principles cont’d. • Scalability • Sustaining new costs, programs and functions is critical • Access • Provide an opportunity for all students to be successful by removing barriers • Sharing • Institutions that learn to share and co-operate can reduce costs and improve quality in many technological areas
