  23. SJSURF Funding Alert System • Disseminates funding opportunities to SJSU faculty and staff via e-mail. 1.Matches keywords from funding opportunity to keywords chosen by faculty. 2. E-mails a “Funding Alert” to faculty with matching keywords. • Funding opportunities include Federal, State, private foundation and corporate sponsors.

What is SPIN? • SponsoredProgramsInformationNetwork (SPIN) is a funding opportunities database designed to provide up-to-date information on current federal, non-federal, and international funding opportunities, including: Fellowships, Research Grants, Publication Support, Sabbatical Support, RFAs (NIH Guide), Curriculum Development, Conference Support, RFPs (Commerce Business Daily), and more. • Contains more than 2,500 sponsoring agencies, which together fund over 11,000 separate funding opportunities. • SPIN enables users to search the database using selections from various categories (keywords, location, sponsor, deadline, etc.)
