Job Duties & Responsibilities • Monitor and maintain quality assurance program. • Evaluate raw materials and packaged foods. • Test the food through microbial, chemical and physical means for approval. • Prepare and deliver reports on quality control and quality assurance. • Maintain documentation
Qualities and Skills • Good hand-eye coordination. • Ability to work long hours and possible extra seasonal hours. • Able to stand on your feet for long periods of time.

Becoming a Food Processor • In high school, take mathematics, biology, chemistry, physics, and computer science as well as courses in both written and oral communications. • Internships are available for students during the regular year as well as the summer. The experiences while having an internship will benefit your future in this field. • Students who do not plan on attending school on the college level may enter into this field by working in a laboratory for a company that processes food.
