Data Management & Core System Software • Move core Data Management & Archive software system into sustaining • Integrate internal processing systems into the Core (common framework for data production) Processes • Implement data stewardship processes based on the Lifecycle Policy • Maturity index • Accountability scores (data & metadata quality) • Enforce a common NetCDF data model based on NODC Templates Datasets • Add remote datasets (archive and/or links) • Priority based on dataset gap analysis • Add SPURS as a “obligated” dataset collection • Value-added datasets: climatologies, CDRs
Tools & Services • Standardize, document, expose and expand web services • Search, Download, Extract, Image, Convert, Format, Events, Compute, Plot, Matchup • Improve the performance of web services • Tile database in cloud compute • Complete the L2 subsetter interface (HITIDE) • Improve dataset discovery • Maturity index • Accountability scores • User ranking • Expand THREDDS, OPeNDAP, LAS • More dataset! • Higher performance
Science Support • Expand SOTO to cross-link with science stories • More animations! • Collaboration with key strategic outreach partners • Aquarium of the Pacific • Continue to improve the web portal • Develop marketing strategies (higher Google rankings) • Deploy web-based technologies for improved user interactions
