Physical Healing • Strengthen core muscles • Improve flexibility • Enhance coordination Emotional Healing • Increase motivation through fun, challenging, and rewarding sport • Encourage participants to set goals and build confidence • Inspire hope and eliminate the stigma of “disabled” • Connect with nature and wilderness Team River Runner (TRR), is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization established in 2004 by a group of kayakers in the Washington DC area to help active duty military personnel wounded in Iraq and Afghanistan who were recovering at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. Since then we have grown to over 40 chapters nationwide, including Portland, Oregon! We serve injured veterans and service members of all eras. Come and join us on the water!!
