Mollusk. By:Amor. What is mollusk?. A mollusk is an animal that has a soft body or an enclosed shell. For example (snail and a clam) is a mollusk. How do they move?. It depends on the mollusk because clams push into the sand with there foot and a snails glide on a layer of mucus.

  2. What is mollusk? • A mollusk is an animal that has a soft body or an enclosed shell. For example (snail and a clam) is a mollusk.

  3. How do they move? • It depends on the mollusk because clams push into the sand with there foot and a snails glide on a layer of mucus.

  4. How do they eat? • Mollusks eat plants, meat and the also eat decomposing material which is called detritovores. Then they go to tiny beating hairs which goes to mucus towards the stomach where the mucus forms into a large string.

  5. Where do they live? • Mollusks live in: • Freshwater • Terrestrial habitats • Oceans • Sea • Mountains • Tropical rain forests • Deserts • They can almost live anywhere

  6. Reproduction • Mollusks reduce in different ways. They can release tons of eggs and their sperm into the open water.

  7. How do they effect humans? • They help humans obtain food chain enormously.
