  5. Receiving a Threat • DEMANDS - Verbal, Written, Electronic: • telephone contact • audio tape demand/instructions • written demand sent directly • demands through an agent either • innocent agent • co-offender • media outlet • e-mail • facsimile • combination of such methods

Immediate Action • Maintain Comprehensive Notes • “If it’s worth a mental note - it’s worth a written one.” • What to Note • Time & date of receipt of call / letter • Which telephone was the threat/demand received on? • Names of all persons who handled the call / letter • Nature of the threat and all details given by caller • Anything about the caller

  12. Operation Moory • Non negotiable deal • Melbourne Water to Respond by placing coded messages in the “Age” Newspaper • Remote system to detonate drums • Wanted money by manipulating ASX • More details to come • Different E-mail address for each contact • Prime Minister and Premier notified
