This study evaluates the predictive value of high-sensitivity cardiac troponin T (hs-cTnT) and conventional cardiac troponin I (cTnI) on admission in patients experiencing acute coronary syndrome. Our findings indicate that hs-cTnT shows a significant association with the combined endpoint of death and myocardial infarction (p=0.024) and a near-significant trend for death alone (p=0.093). The areas under the curve (AUC) suggest superior performance for hs-cTnT (0.66 for death/MI; 0.73 for death) compared to cTnI.
